Dancin' in the WhiteHouse

I know it's been since December that I've truly updated my blog with information.  As you can imagine, we had alot to process and work through.  God continues to be faithful and give us amazing hope that one day we will have a little girl in our home.  So here is the low down from the WhiteHouse.

January:  Kevin was offered a new job.  This was huge blessing. Layoffs were inevitable with Novartis.  He had been on the hunt since last June. He is now meeting with doctors on a new allergy test.  This is a blood test so those prick test can go away :). 

February: With Kevin gone at training, Mason and I took our first official road trip to N.C.  (Pics are in posts below) We had a blast. It was nice to get away and spend some quality time with Mason.  When the adoption fell through, I made a promise to the Lord that I would make everyday count.  I didn't want to dwell on what I didn't have but what I do have.  What He has given me, is the most amazing little boy that blows me away everyday and a husband that fills our house with joy and laughter.   

March- March was a blur.  We traveled to Zepherhills, Florida for 20 days for hyperbaric treatments.  It was a long day.  We did make the most out of it.  We explored all around Dade City.  This was a sweet time to spend with Mason.  (We put pics below w/ details)

April - Apil brought an array of emotions for me.  After much prayer, we put our names into 3 other adoption agencies and attorneys.   We  now have our name out in 4 different places.  I will say that adoption is not for the faint at heart.  Our name has been presented a couple of times but we have not been matched.  With that comes a rollercoaster of emotions.  I don't think I ever realized that wanting children would be this difficult and hurt this much.  I will not say all my converstations with the Lord have been pleasant.  Dying to my dream is so hard at times.  Watching how He has ALWAYS been faithful to give me more that what I could have ever dreamed is what I hang on to.  So we place our dreams into His hands and wait to see what He will mold specifically for the WhiteHouse.

May - We had a wonderful Mother's Day.  For Mother's day Kevin flew my BF Laura down for us to have some girl time. (Pics to come)  She and I have been going through similar situtations with trying to add to our families.  So I'm so blessed to have a friend that I can call that not only understands but continues to point me to the cross.  Instead of allowing me to feel sorry for myself, she blesses me with scripture to feed my hungry heart.  These friends are rare to have in life.  I thank God for her friendship.

June:  June is bringing Mason's 3rd bday.  ( I can't believe it !!!!)  With that we will be adding a new addition to our family.  We are finally getting a puppy.  He is being flown down next week from Boston.  That story will come later.  His name will be Riley and he will be trained later this year to be a therapy dog for Mason!!! We are so excited and can't wait to have him in our home.

Dancin' in the WhiteHouse- Our blog is getting a makeover!!!!  We are almost finished with our new blog.  I decided at the beginning of May that I needed a fresh start.  There are so many things that we enjoy doing and I wanted to share our ideas with others.  So stay tuned b/c we will be posting in the next few weeks when everything is up and ready to go.
