Our baby boy is growing up!!! I love it!!

We have been very busy with appointments this past week and all have come back positive! We are rejoicing in the Lord and so thankful for good reports. Mason does not have Hirschprungs Disease!!! No surgery needed! We still haven't solved the problem completely, but our team of doctors have been making great strides. He went for his feeding evaluation yesterday and he is not aspirating. As you can see in the pictures, he is swallowing. We received the green light to begin solid foods. Last night we were busy putting the high chair together and purchasing spoons and bowls. I don't think I've ever been so excited to go shopping. Mason is going to begin speech therapy. This will be great to get him started early. The best news of all is Mason pooped on his own!!!!! Saturday we changed up his medicine and the poop gates released. I was shopping at Target when Kevin called with the exciting news. I rushed home to see the diaper for myself. We were both praising the Lord. I know for a fact I've never been so excited about a poopy diaper. Boy has life changed :). Thank you all for praying. We are so grateful for all the good things God is doing in Mason's life.

Hello Wendy,
I do not know you personally...but, I feel like I know you through your blog. I have fallen in love with your little Mason, and I am amazed at your strength through all that you have been through.

Our family went through similar (yet very different) circumstances 6 1/2 years ago. We were told when our baby girl was 6 weeks old that she would never walk or talk and she would be severely mentally retarded....plus she would need a liver transplant within 2 years. We were told not to transplant her because her "quality of life" would not be worth it. We chose to give her a 2nd chance at life, and when she was 7 mths. old she received her liver transplant.

Our Emma is now 6 1/2 years old and she has the best "quality of life" we could've ever imagined. She walks and talks and she shows us every single day what the power of prayer can do. Yes, she still has special needs...but, she is ABSOLUTELY perfect in our eyes:).

I will never stop praying for your little Mason. He is a fighter, and he was given to the perfect parents for him. God has a plan for all of us....sometimes it's difficult to see it and we question WHY....but, eventually it reveals itself to us.

You truly are amazing! Keep up the GREAT work:).
